Job Title: Farm Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefers a good Farm and Ranch raised candidate that has passion to farm and ranch
- 2-3 years minimum of current equipment operation with good maintenance skills
- Able to take direction and have good communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as working as a team
- Good attitude and dependable and willing to jump in where needed
- Willing and able to work with backgrounding side of the operation as well as working with farming side
- CDL w/ clean driving record
- Mechanical ability in addition to welding, fabrication would be a big plus
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT searching for a qualified Farm/Ranch Assistant for this Kansas producer. Need to have experience and interest in farming and willingness to help with cow herd. Backgrounding heifers using rotational grazing on native range, breed and sell as bred heifers. This is a diversified operation, and a person needs to be willing to jump in where and when needed. Roughly 200K bu on-farm grain storage, so need person to help haul grain. Prefer experience driving truck and have or be willing to get CDL. Income will be determined on experience, stability, and references. Willing to do some training, but must have basic skills, and a desire to learn and advance. Strong school system and located on the bus route. The position provides a family friendly atmosphere.
